The Red Bull website has an article by Alison Mann with a list of some of the top via ferrata around the world. It was flattering to be interviewed by Alison for the article. Since Alison and I talked, I’ve been curious to see which via ferrata people suggested as some of the best and the article highlights some amazing routes. I’ve ‘liked’ that as it’s all very spectacular but that first photo is the most frightening thing I think I’ve ever seen. i thought that, now I climb outdoors etc, I was getting used to heights providing I’m on a rope but no way could I cope with that drop and those circumstances! 😮 😮
Some of the others look okay though…
Climbing has made me pretty used to heights, but that drop was so long and so sheer that it did make me a bit nervous. Although, it was also exhilarating and wonderful at the same time.
I’ve got much better with heights (when I’m on a rope) after starting climbing but I really couldn’t go along that!
